Mr. Bunny

You open your eyes. The time is 6 am; the sky is dark, with the last drops of rain still clinging stubbornly onto the bare tree branch outside your window. Drooping, uncertain, and somewhat… what’s the word again? Bleak.
And bleak it was. Out of the corner of your eye, you see a strange figure, dressed in immaculate white. Mr. Bunny has returned, it seems. You hadn’t seen him since last night. What were you even doing with him last night?
You drag your ever-so-heavy body across the room and into the bathroom. The clock strikes. 6:45, it says. Your mouth tastes strangely bitter, your hands clammy, and your head is throbbing violently. You close your eyes, trying to fight off the wave of pain.
Your memory of yesterday is hazy. You can’t remember what happened, if anything happened at all. Scratches cover the palms of your hands, reminding you of broken mirror fragments. Strange, you think.
The tap switches on. The water, crimson in colour, drips from your face. It washes away the filth that has accumulated on you — foul remnants of the past.
The water drips. Slowly, torturously…
